How this is calculated

Weekly standing cost = rental + insurance + (servicing, damage reserve, penalties and administration converted from monthly) + (tyres ÷ 52) + (downtime days × replacement vehicle cost, converted from monthly). A van that works five days spreads seven days of standing cost across five days of revenue, so the day figure divides the weekly standing cost by worked days and adds fuel.

Cost per mile and per parcel divide the working-day cost by daily miles and parcels. Monthly total = weekly standing cost × 52 ÷ 12 plus fuel across worked days.
